Sejwad Hospitality is currently in the process of renovating and repurposing a historic bank building into a dedicated conference center across the street from the Sheraton Columbia Downtown. The state-of-the-art conference center will offer approximately 14,000-square-feet of meeting and banquet space with a full, modern kitchen to ideally host meetings, weddings and social events. The conference center is expected to open in early 2014.
The 121,682-square-foot historic Palmetto State Building was acquired in the fall of 2013. The property is currently undergoing extensive renovations, including the restoration of the original 1930s faĂ§ade. Plans for the multi-tenant office building include converting some of the space into residential units.
The Clarion Hotel in downtown Columbia was acquired in the fall of 2013. The hotel is slated to undergo major renovations and be converted into a 220-room luxury hotel.
These three adjacent historic buildings located in the 1600 block of downtown Columbia were acquired within the last few years. The buildings will house the corporate headquarters of Agape Senior, along with some of the company’s retail services. Agape Senior is a South Carolina-based company and among one of the largest senior healthcare providers in the state.
